To support my studies, my family rented a house for me near my high school. It wasn't located beside a gleaming skyscraper or a bustling shopping center, but rather in a quiet and peaceful area bordering a relatively wide street, where I could hear the sound of students reading aloud from school.

I used to find this place terribly dull and uninteresting. Young people like me naturally gravitate toward lively spots, and I was no exception. There was nothing exciting to do nearby, and even picking up a package required a long walk. Coupled with mounting academic pressure, I felt increasingly overwhelmed and powerless.

However, my perspective shifted in a single moment. While sitting by the window, biting my pen as I pondered my thesis, I happened to look up and saw sunlight bathing the entire street, transforming it into a passage interwoven with light and shadow. The dewdrops on the leaves in the nearby fields looked like twinkling stars in the morning light. A few classmates were walking out of campus in small groups, their bags slung over their shoulders. Some held drinks from vending machines, their faces relaxed with the temporary relief from academic stress.

In that moment, I finally understood that this unremarkable corner held the true essence of the city. It wasn't found in the imposing presence of tall buildings, but in the warmth of everyday moments filled with human connection.

In these quiet corners of the city, there's no loud noise — only the gentle sound of everyone's story unfolding.
